Reeves Carter
As a Senior Associate in our commercial litigation practice, Reeves Carter works with clients on wide ranging general litigation matters.
Reeves also has specialized expertise in intellectual property law, where he can oversee all aspects of trademark and brand clearance, including review and analysis of advertising copy and promotional material. In addition, he provides counsel and advice concerning best practices for enforcing trademark rights, avoiding litigation, and mitigating legal risks by evaluating and resolving obstacles to registration and use of trademarks. Reeves has experience prosecuting copyright and trademark applications, responding to office actions, and bringing and defending opposition and cancellation proceedings before the U.S. Copyright Office and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. On behalf of clients, he reviews, negotiates, and drafts license agreements, consent agreements, and co-existence agreements, as well as distribution and franchise agreements, talent and sponsorship agreements, production and publication agreements, and security agreements. He also conducts due diligence for the acquisition of intellectual property rights.
Before joining Guzov Ofsink, Reeves was an intellectual property and litigation associate at several prominent New York law firms.
Reeves is a regular lecturer and presenter for the Practising Law Institute’s Advanced Copyright Seminar.
