Jonnie M. Jackson, Jr.
Johnnie is a nationally known former General Counsel. He has over thirty years of legal and practical business experience at the highest corporate management, corporate board and operating division levels of a public company. For the last seven years, he has consulted for large and small companies (both public and private), non-profits, law firms and law departments. He is an Attorney and Special Counsel to Guzov Ofsink, LLC, Board Member Services Trainer, Advisory Board Member, Executive Coach, and Corporate Governance Professional. He has outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and is known as a thought leader and pioneer, especially for his forward thinking ideas about redesigning law departments and the benefits of engaging in multi-disciplinary Board and organization effectiveness assessments. His experience includes service on the executive committees and boards of companies and non-profit organizations and the successful management of interdisciplinary teams of outside counsel, accountants and organization design professionals for multi-state organization assessments. Johnnie is often quoted as an insightful governance and legal practice expert and he is the author of numerous articles on governance, board evaluations and other legal management and litigation technology topics. He is a frequent speaker and consultant on a variety of topics. Johnnie has over 30 years of assignments at increasing levels of responsibility as a consultant, private lawyer, general counsel and senior executive at Olin Corporation (OLN:NYSE). As Special Counsel, Johnnie’s responsibilities include working with firm attorneys and their clients on a variety of special projects involving corporate matters generally, corporate governance and international corporate transactions.
