Andre Castaybert
Andre Castaybert’s focus is complex commercial litigation, from inception through trial, representing both companies and high net worth individuals in the New York State Commercial Division, the Federal Courts in both State and Federal appellate courts.
Andre’s litigation experience covers a wide range of industries and areas of the law, including financial services, investment, brokerage, banking, real estate, securities, business and property insurance, pharmaceutical, fashion and apparel licensing, advertising, among others.
Andre has advised Fortune 500 and other companies regarding the duties of employees before and after departure and in the drafting and enforcement of non-competition and confidentiality agreements to protect trade secrets. In that connection, he has counseled and represented numerous clients in negotiating, drafting and enforcing employment and licensing agreements.
Andre has significant experience in international cross-border litigation and arbitration, including the procedures for the taking of evidence abroad, in particular, in France, the United Kingdom (England) and Switzerland, and the conduct of arbitration under the rules of the International Chamber of Commerce and the American Arbitration Association.
Andre comes to Guzov Ofsink LLC after twenty years in the litigation department of a major international law firm where he was a member of the international, insurance, and non-compete and trade secrets practice groups.
Andre is fluent in French and has represented French companies, financial institutions and individuals in litigation.
